Fehr'loi Qan Blacksmith Though well renown throughout the land for his superb skill as a master weapon smith, Fehr’loi Qan himself could not be considered the sharpest sword on the rack. The large man’s slow speech seems out of place in the high brow city of Barloque. You get the impression that he is uncomfortable with strangers, but his great size and clear devotion to Kraanan makes him afraid of no one.
Frular Guildmaster Before you stands the stately guild hall executor. Frular has made a healthy profit off selling official guild titles, maintenance of their charters and the leasing of guild halls.
Herbutte Gem Shop Fancying himself a connoisseur of the finer things, Herbutte is little more than a old school aristocratic snob. Within him is a dark streak of contempt for nearly all save royalty. He will never run out of bad things to say about the other towns and the low life transients that wander between them.
Joguer Herb Shop Whistling an inane tune to himself, Joguer takes great care in tending to his fresh garden of magical herbs and mushrooms. Many say he is the foremost herbalist in the land.
Meidei Bartender At one time Meidei only served the rich or those who tipped well, until recently when he "found" Shal’ille. Now a hard core believer, he almost drives his own customers away from his ale.
Pritchett Innkeeper Of everyone in Barloque, the former sailor turned innkeeper Pritchett is the least haughty. Perhaps it is because he was not from the Royal City and recently moved to North Barloque to buy a title.
Roq Assassin There is a malevolent, otherworldly quality to this man. He clings to the shadows of this vile place, a servant to some dark power.
Caramo City Clerk Not your typical Royal bureaucrat. She's attractive, charming, and by all accounts, honorable. Caramo has spent years counting the Duke's money, filing the former Queen's taxation scrolls, and more recently, serving as clerk for the Office of the Justicar.
Obert Cair'bre Vaultman Obert is a relatively handsome gentleman who takes almost as much of pride in his vaults are he does in his family. His professional manner shows that he realizes his customers are often in a hurry to retrieve their goods.
Madelia Tailor Used to working with the well refined tastes of nobility, Madelia meticulously oversees her craft. However, she often wishes to spend excessive time working on a single outfit for one of the more powerful and esteemed members of court. Madelia’s other hobby is to play with the hearts of men and currently has several affairs in the works.

COR NOTH (4)

D'Franco Store Keeper The Cibilo Creek Inn is a common gathering place for students and scholars from the nearby university, and often the site of debate on every manner of issue. D’Franco is encouraging and tolerant of any good discussion, though his views tend to be somewhat conservative.
Rook Weapon's Master A nobleman and former military officer, Rook carries himself with a stiff dignity. He is a weaponsmaster, and makes a living passing his skills on to students of the warriors’ path. His feats with the sword are famous and unparalleled.
Soloman Food Store This shop reflects the fine and exotic tastes of it’s proprietor. Solomon has collected goods and art from unimaginable corners of the known world, and is rumored to have relics and artifacts from even beyond that.
Hester Gilk Tailor Hester is from a very distant land, and her adept sewing reflects a distinct tradition that incorporates functionality with a powerful art. The clothes she produces are beautiful.

JASPER (6)

Afiera D'Xor Wise Man Afiera D’xor spent many, many years of solitude in these mountains, and now devotes his life to his art. His stone carvings are intricate designs of mathematical perfection. He will make time, however, to entertain travelers who hope to share some of the wisdom he has gained from a life of secluded meditation.
Pietro Bartender A peevish and sullen man tends this bar. This is Pietro, the impetuous sot.
Quintor Blacksmith Quintor is widely recognized as the finest weaponsmith in the land. He is also recognized as a quiet, brooding man who keeps to himself. Take that as you will.
Widow Qesino Innkeeper The Widow Qesino has run the Yonder Inn since her late husbands’ disappearance. She seems to be a very straightforward woman.
Yevitan Banker Yevitan studies you with thoughtful, intelligent eyes. He is surprisingly spry for his age.
Zhieu B'hob General Store Zhieu B’hob works very hard to make his business thrive in this depressed community. He is eager, and busy with the appearances.

MARION (5)

Colhorr Blacksmith A country blacksmith with years of pounding the anvil ringing in his ears, Colhorr is an established landmark in Marion. Most of his work consists of fabricating and repairing farming implements and hardware for the agrarian locals.
Morrigan Innkeeper A silly little man, Morrigan maintains a modest business alternately buying and selling reagents and other various notions. Although his heart doesn’t seem to be in commerce, there can be little doubt Morrigan loves his job.
Ran er'Hoth Wise Man An ancient member of the Marion community, Ran er’Hoth has taken on a somewhat legendary status throughout Meridian, and is sought out for his opinions and knowledge by pilgrims and travelers. Whether he is considered a wise man or the village idiot locally really depends on who you talk to.
Tova Bartender There is no overlooking Tova, a bellowing and uproarious man who takes life exactly as it comes through the front door of the Limping Toad. He is the proprietor here, serving drinks and entertaining from his self-styled rostrum noted for it’s powerful stout.
Lady Aftyn Healer In the presence of Lady Aftyn there is no mistaking that she is of royalty, and not from these parts. She exudes a sense of peaceful determination; of confidence, serenity, and purpose.

TOS (5)

Frisconar Magic Shop This sickly man stares at you with bleary eyes from behind the counter. His breathing is somewhat labored and sweat mattes his forehead. Frisconar is almost as well known for his keen interest in magical reagents as he is for his dour out look on life.
Paddock Bartender As owner of perhaps the most popular bar in the world, Paddock goes out of his way to smile at every customer who comes through the door. His down to earth demeanor and common man approach to his clientele makes him one of the most likable men in Tos.
Rycksher Bartender The younger and less competent brother of Paddock casually lounges behind the bar. While sipping from goblet, he slowly bobs his head to the music.
Skivlat Banker Skivlat spends all of his time in the company of money and it shows. His hand lovingly caresses the gold as a large doting smile forms on his face. Every so often he will jingle the bag just to hear the melodious clinking of shillings.
Watcher Arena Judge The son of Priestess Qerti’nya and General Cylill, young Cort has been appointed the Watcher of the Glorious Arena of Kraanan. A calm smile graces his face as he oversees the mock combats held in the name of Kraanan the Fist.

COUNCIL (5) & FACTIONS (2)

Alzahakar Councilor Renown as the most powerful wizard in the Kingdom, Alzahakar stands proudly before you. You can feel the conflicting will of four separate gods within him. As one of the oldest friends of King Zarcos V, he has been counseling the princess since birth.
Bei Naq Councilor A small vulture like man stuffed in extravagant robes of gold and jewels, he lives in constant fear of others wanting his treasures. Through his studies, he located numerous jewel mines and remains the richest in the land, although his purse is seldom opened.
Cylill Councilor A combat veteran of the wars with Ukgoth, he has mastered every skill of combat. Dressed in light armor and military formal regalia, he lounges at his hut as a general during disgusting peacetime. Cylill has had a long past serving with the Duke’s forces in protecting the world from Trolls and has many war stories to tell..
Drechx Councilor A wise physician, he is rumored to have perfected his body’s healing capacity. His body is old and weathered yet perfectly fit. He truly believe the voice of the people should dictate who leads them and allows his alliance to sway between the Duke and Princess.
Esseldi Councilor A great traveler and explorer, he now hunts for the appearances of the mystical mana nodes. Esseldi attempts to wear the stately dress of the court, yet always manages to tatter them up on his impromptu explorations. He enjoys talking about all of his findings, whether relevant to anyone else or not.
Kalior Duke Commanding and straight forward, the Duke commands many. He appreciates those who show correct court etiquette and may ignore those who do not refer to him by a stately title.
Kateriina Princess Never having a mother or sibling and losing her father to insanity, she has been saddled with immense responsibility at a young age. She does not understand why the Duke dislikes her, but knows that she must appear as a strong opposition. She is admired by her subjects for her kind heard and underdog position against tyranny of those like the Duke. Overall she is enthralled by magic and sees it as the salvation for Meridian.

PRIESTESSES (4)

Qerti'nya Kraanan Qerti’nya is very judgmental of the strength of those who come before her. Blood and hellfire are the tools of this priestess, for only the strong and good meaning deserve to live. She is quick to make accusations or statements. Although she delivers a powerful sermon, she is likely to go out drinking with the men after it is over.
Tenuv'vyal Faren Hair unkempt and anger barely checked. Some say she is on the brink of madness, others say she is a terrible menace waiting to be released like a raging storm. She despises civilization and feels humans must return to the ways of the wilds.
Xiana Shal'ille Clean and prim, this priestess of peaceful serenity speaks only kind words. She even wishes peace on those of Qor and prays for their redemption.
Zuxana Qor The perfect servant of Qor the Vile. Shadows deepen where this malevolent woman stands. She has a devious sensuality that she will exploit to turn men and women to succumb to the dark will of Qor. If she can not seduce others to Qor, she would rather see them dead.

KONIMA SETTLEMENT (12)

Zala ix'Mecya Magic Shop Zala is a slow moving woman who obviously enjoys the earthly pleasures. She talks in a soft, husky voice between long drags on her clay pipe.
Pacal ix'Anoak General Shop This somewhat scattered man runs a very scattered store set in an abandoned arsenal. Regardless of his apparent lack of organization, Pacal has a remarkable understanding of exactly what is here and where.
Ixla cha'Totlak Blacksmith This powerful woman has established herself as the preeminent weaponsmith in the warrior society of Ko’catan. She has also established herself as a woman with a gift for speaking the most colorful parts of the Ko’catan language
Cital ko'Manca Captain of Guard As the one of the highest ranking officers in the Ko’catan Army, Cital ko’Manca is serious and crisp in his duties. In peacetime these duties include supervising the main gatehouse during daylight against actions by enemies unknown. Cital ko’Manca is extraordinarily young to have achieved such a high rank, but he is well respected for his fairness and his adherence to military law.
Xacal ko'Ixca Captain of Guard As the one of the highest ranking officers in the Ko’catan Army, Xacal ko’Ixca is a tough veteran of many campaigns. His peacetime duties include supervising the main gatehouse during the night hours against actions by enemies unknown, and since this is a time of relative peace part of Xacal ko’Ixca’s duties consist of defining just who those enemies are. He is widely respected for his toughness and ability to get results.
Huital ko'Nosak Banker Well respected as the master of all monetary affairs on the island, Huital pays close attention to the economy and how it relates to every business. Before engaging in any new transaction of coins, he quickly washes his hands in the pedestal of clear water.
Itzal cha'Nosak Vaultman Itzal’s often rude attitude and awkward bodily noises make him far less popular than his fraternal twin, Huital. With a labored sigh and a piggish grunt, he begrudgingly accommodates the needs of those who wish to store items in the vault.
Chotal ko'Tulca Weapons Master An older man who is obviously blind in both eyes. With his every move exacting and his every word said with forethought, this former warrior defines the slow grace of a seasoned hunter. Noted for his keen ear, some say he can hear those things that make no noise, like a frown or a doubting thought.
Quetzal Language Master Brilliant yet begrudged by most of the island for his age, this high pitched youth rose from an annoying bookworm to one of the most sought after individuals due to his extensive knowledge of languages. He regards most of the adults around him as intellectual inferiors who cannot appreciate his mind.
Oxal ix'Tokak Bartender After losing his right arm in action at Balo na’te Din, Oxal was discharged from service with the Ko’catan Army and assigned to The Barking Monster. It is a great honor to be the veteran selected to run this military owned establishment, but Oxal performs the work with little apparent relish.
Tepal ix'Zonak Tailor Tepal’s quick, furtive eyes give away the abundant and nervous energy which occupies him. Something about him tells you that he has good reason to be nervous.
Moxal ix'Hanak Innkeeper Entrepreneurial by nature, Moxal ix’Hanak is always on the look out for a new high risk investment. He greets you with a confident smile and a clandestine gleam in his eye.

zax'Avarya Bone Priestess This female Avar has been exiled from her society for her illegal magic practices. At least that’s the common belief, although it is difficult to determine if any reason can be applied to this strange creature
Wulfgang zax'Ak Trade Master A remarkable man fallen upon a tough life, Distan was born on the mainland and raised in the persecuted secret society of the last Riija School. Besides that he somehow escaped to this island and established his trading post, little else is known about Wulfgang’s past.
Hanla zax'Ta Bow Maker This becoming, young woman appears as cold and curt to new faces. Despite that, it is obvious to all that her true passion lies in the crafting of fine bows.
Bahal zax'Ot Mad Scientist Leering at you as if you were a potential subject for some twisted experiment, Bahal smiles and chortles to himself. The moody little man seems unnaturally obsessed with the horrific and the bizarre.
The Monk of Riija

Riija Monk Floating several feet above the ground, this enigma of a being watches you. When it speaks, the monk’s voice crackles like century old parchment. You have a very uneasy feeling that all is not as it seems.

With a sickly sweet child’s voice and an unwholesome look of innocence, the priestess of Riija welcomes you to her inner sanctum of reality.

Parrin Aragone Minstrel Parrin is widely known across the land, but rarely spoken of favorably. Although extremely gifted with the lyre, this traveling minstrel’s lyrics and puns habitually bring groans of disgust from those who are forced to listen. Rumor has it that Paddock has threatened to kill Parrin should he ever set foot in Familiars again. For a generous tip, he may sing of your exploits. For a bigger tip, he may even leave.

Miriana Heretic Outcast by the religious community due to her blasphemous views of the gods, Miriana dances by herself far from the rigid walls of civilization. Some call her a heretic, others a child, but all seem to find something beguiling about the distant girl.
Maleval Dark Wizard You can feel that you are in the presence of a powerful warlock. Invasive magic weighs heavily in the air surrounding this wandering sorcerer. His knowledge of the intricacies of spell learning is unsurpassed, though his public dislike for the temples has made an outcast of the Royal Court.

Generic Princess Guard Trained as Knights of the King’s Army, most know better than to cross the Royal Guard. They are charged with defending the King, the Princess, the Bourgeois Castle, Barloque and the rest of the kingdom, in that order.
Generic Ko'catan Sentry Years of hard military experience has earned this soldier the esteemed position of sentry. No where else in the world will one find such capable soldiers as the ones who defend Ko’catan.
